What is Garlic Jim’s?

Garlic Jim’s is a concept that combines the quick delivery of the national pizza chains with the most delicious gourmet pizza you have ever tasted. Garlic Jim’s has perfected both our gourmet pizza recipes using the finest ingredients and the science of prompt pizza delivery. The result is ‘Gourmet, Right Away!’

How much does it cost to build a Garlic Jim’s restaurant?

The total investment necessary to begin operation of a Garlic Jim’s restaurant ranges from $85,700 to $277,000. This amount varies due to several factors including the size of the unit, geographical location, availability of used restaurant equipment and landlord improvements.

What is the franchise fee?

The initial franchise fee is $20,000. Multi-unit discounts are available. Some strategic single-unit territories may also qualify for a discount.

What is the royalty fee?

Royalty fees are 5.5%.

​

What is the franchise term?

The initial franchise term is 10 years.

​

What are the marketing/advertising fees?

2.5% of net sales are paid to the Garlic Jim’s National Co-op for marketing and brand-building. There may also be a Local Advertising Cooperative in your area. This local co-op is made up of all stores in a local advertising market.

What is an FDD?

A Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) is a legal document which is presented to buyers of franchises in the pre-sale disclosure process.

Am I required to work in my restaurant?

Not necessarily. You have the choice to hire an experienced professional or to work in the restaurant yourself. However, we encourage owner/operators because the dynamic it provides is often critical to the success of a restaurant. A multi-unit operator’s main responsibility is the marketing of their stores.

Do you provide demographic information for my trade area?

Yes. We will provide you with the demographics needed to evaluate your market.

​

Who selects the site for my restaurant?

You will select your site with the assistance, advice and concurrence of Garlic Jim’s. Final approval is needed from Garlic Jim’s.

What kind of training will I receive?

Garlic Jim’s Operations and Training Department, using our trademarked 400 page ‘University of Pizzaology’ training manual, will provide you with initial and on-going training and support in every aspect of pizza store management.

​

Are there training requirements?

Yes. Before opening, the franchisee and designated manager must complete four weeks of Garlic Jim’s Training using our trademarked ‘University of Pizzaology’ comprehensive training manual.

What kind of support does Garlic Jim’s offer?

Garlic Jim’s provides both initial and ongoing training and support for its franchisees. This includes site selection, Grand Opening support, marketing support, employee training and management training.
